Oikos Project

Oikos is the Ancient Greek word describing a household or family. The church in DeKalb uses the word Oikos as the name for our Community Ministry Arm.

We use the word Oikos because the goal of our Community Ministry Arm is to develop a community in the city of DeKalb that has the closeness of a household or a family as we work to bring people to new life through the Gospel, become a community by the Gospel and do life together for the Gospel.

Oikos Projects are our way of celebrating that God has reconciled us to our culture, as well as to Himself and to His Church. Oikos Project events reflect our desire to see both the people of DeKalb as well as the city itself transformed by and for the Gospel.
