Our Leadership

Jamie Page: Lead Pastor

Pastor Jamie believes that the most important thing about people is our view of God, and to the extent that our view of God is distorted our life will be out of focus. The only way to have a right view of God is to be transformed by the Gospel which is the only way to know God rightly.

He came to DeKalb after realizing three things: DeKalb is a beautiful city, a broken city, and a city that the Gospel can and is redeeming.

Pastor Jamie graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. He was called to ministry and served at First Baptist Church Wood Dale, IL. He served as the Pastor of Single Adults at Hunters Glen Baptist Church in Plano, TX. Most recently he served as a North American Mission Board missionary in the Western Suburbs of Chicago.

Aaron Oneal: Worship Pastor

Aaron is joining The church in DeKalb as Worship Pastor to oversee worship arts.  He is passionate about leading a Gospel centered community in singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.  Not to just sing them, but to express and confess truth about God in worshipful response as He is revealed in scripture.

His ambition is to be preparing for Sunday gathered, working with local songwriters, writing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs and working with the other leaders at the church plant. In being a part of leadership, one of His goals in the worship arts ministry is to keep the mission of the plant moving forward and the vision clear amongst the future worship team members.

Aaron is married to Erin Oneal. They are expecting their first child in November.

He and his wife came to The church in DeKalb from Sojourn Community Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Aaron is originally from the greater St. Louis area. He is three classes away from receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Missions, Evangelism, and Church Growth from Boyce College, the undergraduate school at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Lynne Reasoner: Director of Children’s Ministries

Lynne Reasoner joins The church in DeKalb as our Minister of Children and Youth. She loves working with children and believes children should be loved and nurtured through the Gospel and that their relationship with God should start at birth and be built as they grow.

She became friends with Jamie and Cherron when the Pages were in Texas for while in seminary and felt God calling her to DeKalb to serve as our children’s minister as Jamie and Cherron told of the great things the Lord is doing here in DeKalb.

Lynne graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She has been working with children and youth since high school, teaching children of all ages in church in Texas and Tennessee. She has been involved in various activities such as working nursery, teaching small groups, childcare, and as the Preschool Intern for Hunters’ Glen Baptist Church in Plano, TX.
