William Carey, the Father of Modern Missions, is known to have said before departing to bring the Gospel it India, “I will go…but you must remember to hold the rope.”
As a new church plant we depend on a great amount of outside support. If you are interested in “holding the rope for us” check out these simple steps:
1. Check out what we’re About
2. If you can catch our vision for DeKalb of being a church that brings people to new life through the Gospel, being a community by the Gospel, and doing life together for the Gospel. And if something about this vision strikes something inside of you.
Then please support us in at least one of these three ways:
1. PRAY.
Spiritual support is surely our greatest need, and the easiest for you to aide in. If you would like to support us through prayer please fill out the Contact Form and ask to be added to our prayer update list so we know who we have praying for us and you know how to be praying for us specifically.
Pray that God would establish a church in DeKalb that reaches the whole city. Pray that God provides the financial support we need to reach our budget. Pray that God raises up leaders for us in DeKalb.Pray that God softens the hearts of the people in DeKalb and makes the Gospel work powerfully in their lives.
2. GIVE.
Consider giving a steady monthly financial gift to this new work.$20? $50? $100? $500? All gifts should be made out to Redeemer Fellowship Church: 1125 Oak St. Saint Charles, IL 60174. Please mark them clearly for the DeKalb Church Plant.
All financial gifts are tax deductible.
3. MOVE.
We want to be a church that makes new believers, not one that transplants them from other churches. At the same time we need mature Christians who are willing to give and model our values and vision. Consider moving to DeKalb for one year and being part of our launch team. Consider staying for three years and helping us plant other churches. Radical? Sure. Risky? Yeap. Amazing? Absolutely!
