Dear Friends:
I found out this morning that for the first time since April, I think, there isn’t enough money in our church account to get a full paycheck and that, on top of that, our health insurance is due, so really there’s only enough funds for about a quarter of what we need to pay our personal expenses. We’ll be fine with that, it will be a tough two weeks, but more concerning than this is that our account balance is now $0.Â
I’m writing you this morning because I know that in the past you’ve been able to pray for us and to rally up support for us. Through the blessings of people like yourselves we’re hoping that we can replenish our funds for our ministry here in DeKalb quickly so that in two weeks Cherron and will be able to pay our more significant bills like rent and groceries.
I wish we just had $20,000 in our church bank account! Ha! But Jesus is good, and through all of this reminds Cherron and I, as well as our church, to rely on Him and His goodness for all of our needs and not our recent ministry performance, healthy devotional life, or being a “good” Christian. Instead His kindness to us is based on His goodness and Christ’s righteousness given to us and it is always sufficient for our daily need.
